1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit maisonforma.us or buy from us, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Because our business is established in France, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies to our processing.
2. What information we collect and why
- Orders: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number (if provided), order details and payment status. We use this information to process and deliver your order, handle returns and answer your questions. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Accounting and tax records: order and invoice data, which we must keep under French accounting law.
- Customer service: the information you send us by email, phone or through the contact form, to answer your request.
- Website use: technical data such as IP address, browser, device and pages visited, needed to run and secure the store.
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: only with your consent (see section 6).
Under the GDPR, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (orders, returns), legal obligation (accounting records), legitimate interests (customer service, store security) and consent (newsletter, analytics and advertising cookies).
3. Who we share your information with
We share your information only with service providers who need it to run our store and who act on our instructions:
- Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Ireland, and its affiliates), our e-commerce platform and host;
- the carrier delivering your order (name, address, phone number, email);
- payment providers, depending on the method you choose: Shopify Payments for card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, and PayPal if you pay with PayPal. Each provider also applies its own privacy policy;
- Google, for audience measurement and advertising (Google Analytics, Google Ads), only with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information.
4. International transfers
Our business is based in France, so your information is processed in the European Union. Some providers (for example Shopify or Google) may also process it in the United States or Canada. These transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified companies or Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep your information
- Order and accounting records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law.
- Customer service messages: up to 3 years after our last exchange.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Cookies: see section 6.
6. Cookies, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the store to work (for example your cart and checkout).
We use analytics and advertising cookies only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our website or in your browser settings.
Our website honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a refusal of analytics and advertising cookies. Our website does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, which have no common standard; please use GPC or the cookie settings instead.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information (except what we must keep by law);
- stop using your information for marketing or advertising;
- send you your information in a portable format.
You can also withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; we honor these requests in the same way.
To make a request, email us at contact@maisonforma.us. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer; we will respond to your appeal within 45 days.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first at contact@maisonforma.us. You can also contact your state attorney general, or the French data protection authority (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés – CNIL), 3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, cnil.fr.
9. Security
We use Shopify's secure platform and limit access to your information to what is needed to run our store. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
10. Children
Our store is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make material changes, we update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you by email. The current version is always available on this page.
